Jac Wheble
After a misspent youth on stage which culminated in a Drama Degree at UCW, Jac now gets paid to
create sensory, immersive experiences for pupils with complex additional learning needs.
Whilst living in Manchester she acted with several theatre companies including being in the premiere of
Innit the Musical at the Lowry theatre. She has been nominated for both a NODA and ACT Best
Actress award for roles in Bette and Joan and Memory of Water. Jac also directs and won awards for
her production of Kindertransport in the North West. She has directed two 4 star Edinburgh Fringe
new writing plays for Time & Again Theatre Company, one of which won the Oldham Coliseum best
GM fringe award. Since moving to Edinburgh she has directed Brassed Off and Brief Encounter for
Edinburgh People’s theatre. In the 2024 Edinburgh fringe she starred in The Grads premiere of Hilary
Spiers ‘A Singular Deception’ which was nominated for the Scottish Arts award. Jac has come to
terms with almost…but never quite ‘making it’ to the big time…maybe this time?
