Andy has Masters degrees in Creative Writing from University of East Anglia and Playwriting from University of Edinburgh.
His plays include A Beginner's Guide to Populism, After We Danced, Are You Lonesome Tonight? A Bridge Game Too Far, Going For Gold, Heart Shaped Box, Mistaken For Strangers (co-written with Howie Ripley), Casual Encounters, and Boxes.
He has produced and directed plays in London, Edinburgh and Birmingham. Are You Lonesome Tonight? became his first play to be produced in the US when it was performed in Memphis, in September 2015. It has had two further US productions since then.
