Heart Shaped Box - cornerhouse march 14 2015
September 2000, Kurt Cobain may have been dead for six years, but the legacy of his life, and, more importantly, his death, still loom large in the memories of Diana and Lawrence, after their friend killed himself shortly after his hero did the same thing. As Diana faces the prospect of seeing a group of his friends for almost the first time since his death, she discovers that people have different ways of coping with loss, or forgetting about lives not lived.
'Heart Shaped Box' comes to the cornerHOUSE for one night only on 14 March 2015. Cast are Eileen Von Skopnik as Diane and Dan Clinton as Lawrence.
The play was first performed at the OFS Studio on 7 to 10 April 2010 as part of a double bill with 'Are You Lonesome Tonight' for Oxfringe 2010.
Fringe Report.com described the play as 'perfectly pitched in performance, direction and script.... Andy Moseley manages to shift between comedy and tragedy seamlessly... The script is particularly successful in taking twists which could feel clichéd and making them feel fresh. As the characters' back story is revealed through these twists they become more three-dimensional and true to life...The two actors clearly enjoy the material and bounce off each other well. Howie Ripley excels as Lawrence...Both actors come into their own at the climax of the play which is gripping and moving.
Cast and Crew for Oxfringe

LAWRENCE: Howie Ripley
Writer/Director: Andy Moseley
TECHNICIAN: Mike Ward
STAGE MANAGEMENT: Andy Moseley and Chris Burton
