Howie is a veteran of the independent theatre scene; he studied English and Drama in the UK and acting for the camera in California. His previous roles include Frank in Steven Berkoff’s ‘Kvetch’; Vicomte de Valmont in Christopher Hampton's ‘Les Liaisons Dangereuses’ and Sir Toby Belch in Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’. ‘Mistaken for Strangers’ is Howie's first play as a writer, and also marked his directorial debut. He has since directed 'Are You Lonesome Tonight?' for NoLogoProductions in Buxton and Edinburgh. Howie went on from NoLogo to appear in several productions for Tower Theatre Company including The Trial, Dinner, and The Female of the Species, and also played Norman in Summer's Gone with KDC. His last appearance for NoLogoProductions was as Brendan in Going for Gold at The Actors Centre. He now appears as a regular in productions at Bromley Little Theatre.
