Village Life Under Threat – A community appeals
The residents of Little Middleton are up in arms about proposals that will spell the end of their village.
Following the announcement of plans to create Middleton Garden City, they have launched the Save Little Middleton campaign, and hope that it will preserve their historic community and keep it out of the hands of property developers and speculators.
Leading the campaign is Parliamentary candidate Antonia Morgan - an odd choice, perhaps, given her previous endorsement of the proposals when she was part of Middleton County Council, but this is modern politics - the old rules don't apply.
Campaign leaders wish to raise national awareness of what they see as the threat to villages and towns across our country. NoLogoProductions are here to help them.

Join the campaign to save Little Middleton - First Committee Report
The leaders of the Save Little Middleton held the first public meetings to raise funds for their campaign in November.
Meetings were held at the Red Lecture Theatre, Summerhall, Edinburgh on Monday 13th, The Old Hairdressers, Glasgow on Wednesday 15th and The Cockpit, London on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th. At the meetings, NoLogoProductions provided a piece of theatrical entertainment to inform you of the reasons why the Save Little Middleton campaign was launched, what the campaigners have achieved to date, and what the future holds for communities like theirs. The dramatised version of their struggles was written by Andy Moseley who breached the Save Little Middleton campaign media embargo by talking about it to The New Current and directed by David Wood who wisely kept his mouth shut, preventing the misreporting of information we knew would happen. Portraying the roles of the key members of the Save Little Middleton Campaign were the following; Isabel Palmstierna: Antonia Morgan Will Underwood: Jeremy Taylor Beag Horn: Coleen Cousins Jordan Edgington: Brian Barber |
The meetings were attended by several important people and lots of other people of no significance whatsoever. All agreed that the meetings were a success, and some even took to 'print' and social media to express their delight at having been part of it.
London Theatre 1 said 'Andy Moseley skewers everything that is troubling about politics today in an hour-long show as fresh as the day’s news' and noted that 'As Antonia Morgan, Isabel Palmstierna is consistently hilarious as she learns, obeys and breaks the new rules of power' before concluding by saying the piece was 'directed with pace and humour by David Wood' and advising readers to 'catch it if you can.' Other members of the audience wrote in after the meetings with comments such as 'Fantastic cast & an incredible, close to the bone, darkly hilarious script! don't miss it!' 'Brilliant play, loved the wit and fast pace of the dialogue' 'the story expertly dances around current events and with the help of some solid performances it delivers a clever, poignant, funny and even rather scary take on the state of the world' and 'Lovely performances and a tight, thought-provoking script!' The campaign leaders believe that these meetings demonstrate what can be achieved when politicians get down off their high horses and speak up for concerned citizens like the people of Little Middleton. They hope to stage many similar events in 2018 and cordially invite you to return to this site or follow NoLogoProductions on Facebook or Twitter to find out the dates of these as soon as they are announced. This concludes the committee report. |
POPULISM : COMING TO A TOWN AND COUNTRY NEAR YOU - SOON
The leaders of the Save Little Middleton campaign believe that theatre is produced by bourgeoisie luvvies who have never done an honest days work in their lives and no doubt claim unemployment benefit when they are not hoovering up grants and donations that could be far better spent elsewhere.
Nevertheless, they have asked us. NoLogoProductions, to help them, based on recommendations from people who work in jobs that don't involve anything other than sitting on their backsides in theatres and drinking.
